In a combined hobby session, campers Liv, Macey, June, and Noa recorded and created a wide variety of songs, from covers to originals songs and even a spooky soundtrack… Enjoy this selection from our second week of recording studio
In the instrument building hobby Mira, Caroline, Shai, Jacob, Jaden, Jonah, EJ, Eli, Joey, Aaron, and Max managed to paint and build a bass guitar. It even works! Marvel at the beauty of our new blue wonder!
Our artist in residence Brett Fromson helped lead the song writing hobby, where within five days campers Evelyn, Mira, and Caroline wrote and recorded three songs. These songs, written by the now dubbed A Woman’s Oaradix, cover a wide range of thoughtful and creative topics from comparisons between camp and the outside world and being a witch during the Middle Ages.
In one week, campers Mira, Caroline, and Marin wrote a song, created instrumentals, recorded their song, dropped a sick beat, and made a music video. We are proud to debut “Ugly Face” on Beber Rocks!
Liv, Shai, Ari, Dalia, Naomi, Lily, Becca, and Norah accomplished so much this week, by writing about it we would not be able to give their music justice. From rap battles to belly buttons, every song speaks for itself. Please enjoy a look inside the minds of eight kesher campers!
Makor campers Charli and Reese plowed their way through a combination of cover and original songs throughout their five days in the recording studio. We have a selection of two songs that these amazing singers sung!
This past week, four cabins hopped in the studio for their cabin activity to create covers of some of our favorite songs. B3 “ruined” the song Into The Thick of It. B2 recreated the classic Lorax song Let It Grow in preparation for their talent show act. O2 sang their way through Taylor Swift’s Shake it Off. And G1 took turns recording two Broadway songs: Satisfied and Defying Gravity.
Check out the two performances that opened the Staff Talent Shows this summer from our legendary Beber Band!
Golden Mic recipient for Rocker of the Session busted out this incredible performance in the recording stuido proving that she earned that mic, and more. See other posts for live versions of this and more!
In a busy week of recording studio, Makor campers created a whole slew of different projects. Some of these projects include an original song by Samantha about Beber Camp, Gabriel’s original song about his studio collaborator Jack’s mishaps at camp, Grace’s Beberfied version of the hit song TikTok, and Aaron’s oringal song about a sneak out.
A group of campers came to the recording studio with the intention of ruining a song. Within an hour, they tweaked the instruments, tempo, lyrics, rhythm, key, and rhythm of Taylor Swift’s Love Story.
During a cabin activity, K1 rewrote the lyrics of Barbie Girl to reflect their Beber Camp experience. From different cheers to their favorite foods, this song has it all.
Inspired by this session’s musical, Makor campers Levi, Will, and Yuji decided to create their own version of the show stopping song Let It Go. If you can’t put your finger on what this song is about, how about you place it in your nose as you enjoy Pick My Nose.
This group of talented Makor campers wrote and recorded their own version of Rhianna’s Umbrella to express their desire to break the month long kosher fast at Beber Camp. Join the Unkosherables as they sing about all of the foods not welcome at Beber Camp.
Shai Morris took a recording of Beethoven’s Für Elise and added his own twist to it. He played multiple electronic instruments to infuse an even darker side to the classical piece.
Despite their camp-wide fame, the band I Agree With Pickle were the target of a new song. Campers Ari, Jacob, and Lily detail why they respectfully disagree with Pickle in a detailed TED talk, as they nitpick the band’s history (in a respectful manner).
Makor camper Liam Peck wrote and recorded a multitude of songs across genres this session in the recording studio. His funk song Brain Function will put you in the mood to grove. Pizza Man chronicles the story a hungry customer as they become a pizza man. Liam went acoustic with his song Power Outage, playing the Kahone and recording a music video in the tunnel. Finally, Liam left us wowed by his avant garde Big Project, which captures a zen feeling in a never before heard soundscape.
Beber’s got Talent was chock full o’ dance, film, diablo, and more, but two music acts really took the whole show to the next level! Enjoy Jack and Brody’s take on “Revival” (including an unbelievable costume change mid-song) and Lila’s absolutely stunning rendition of “On My Own” from Les Mis!
All the news from early August 2024 is right here, produced by our camper newscasters in our own newsroom! See below that for panel discussions!

PLUS - a very fun song/loop/beat created by our radio hobbies - a conversation including heavy use of the word “no” was captured and looped, with beats and synths added to turn it into a major bop! NO is a YES!
