Getting to a music festival at 9am my be a hard sell, but not when you have talent like this! The camp went crazy for the three bands, each representing a different division.
Band of the Year 2023 Dipped got back together to prove they have more to prove, and prove it they did, performing Dancing Queen as the crowd sang along!

Fine Arts Fest remains Beber’s premiere showcase of hobby talent in the music and fine art fields, and the bands at session 2’s festival didn’t disappoint - see and hear below as Band of the Session winners Still a Mystery tackle a classic Tom Petty tune, Kesher’s own Party Pack lean into a legendary Journey song to get the audience pumped…
And Beber icons I Agree with Pickle screen their own Rockumentary film, followed by their first-ever live performance (more on that in their own blog post below!)

Dipped very casually showed up on the 2023 music scene and nonchalantly won Ramot Band of the Session. Not much has changed since then, despite almost everything changing.
2 former members dipped out to Pio year, and 2 dipped from camp. Then this year the band had to dip from every rehearsal hall they tried to play in, and their singer Lila had to dip out of half the rehearsals. Then 2 more members joined and quickly dipped.
In a surprise dip-in Beber music legend Ethan Kolesky joined the band to play his first BeberFest in 8 years.
And Gabi overcame her fears and dipped her toes into the lake - but not for long enough to actually take the picture that way.

Beber Rocks is proud to present “I Agree with Pickle - a Comeback Story” - a rockumentary documenting the band’s triumphant return after a diss track against them lights a fire in their pickle hearts resulting in their first live Fine Arts Fest performance, and the first original song written by a Beber rock band hobby to make it to the big stage - “We’re Too Busy Pickling”.
Follow the Pickle Slay story from their humble beginnings 2 summers ago, to their law-breaking video in 2023, to rock stardom now. Through member changes, setbacks, and perseverance, I Agree With Pickle has cemented themselves as one of the premiere rock bands in Beber history. Get yourself some popcorn and soda and enjoy!

When O1 found out from Russell in Cabin Activity that Maddie had stubbed her toe 3.5 years ago and was still sad about it, they wrote an original song to help make things better. We’re just sure it’s gonna work!
O1 stubbing their own toes in sympathy. (ok not really but they were still very sympathetic.)
In the wake of heated controversy surrounding a Tik Tok diss track against the band I Agree With Pickle from a little-known rapper called Golden Oreo and his anonymous posse, it appears that the band may in fact be coming out of retirement in order to respond to this diss the only way they know how- through music.
And it looks like they’ve formed a new production company to document their comeback. Until this leaked footage is explained, we simply don’t know any more than this, but we’ll keep you updated!

The Pioneers of 2024 set out to write a song that conveyed what it means to be a Pio for them now, but also something that generations of Pios before and to come can relate to and sing too.
Beber Music Director Emeritus Russell Wiener spent some time in the brand new Moadon helping them workshop song concepts, refine ideas, and produce/arrange the song they wrote called “Ode to the Pioneers.”
We are very proud of what the Pios accomplished, this is a beautiful song full of meaning - and also catchy as can be.
Two different mixes are below (download by right-clicking on computer, or just stream), and a third hybrid mix accompanies the video with footage from the recording session.

Once in a great while a piece of art is created that demands the beholder to ask “what on earth did I just hear/see?” The Library is that piece of art for 2024 at Beber Camp.
Each listen peels back another layer of the rich and complex onion of meaning and interpretation. A veritable collage of the unexpected, it is not for the faint of heart. Poster, video, and audio now available here!

We hear at the Beber Rocks music dept make mistakes from time to time. And here is one we regret - this gem from 2022 never got posted! These folks are Pios now but enjoy this jam from their younger days!
A brand new radio station is underway - Stuido Radio at 3BC! We are working on all kinds of things, from new songs, to radio programs and more. Here’s our new ID drop for the station, and below that is our first radio show, with some of our favorite rock songs of all time!
Frankly we aren’t sure exactly what this hobby is, we have a lot going on, but here’s today’s random awesome beat that we collaborated on. We also listened to some Kenny Loggins, J Cole, and other incongruous selections and talked about the songs. Enjoy!
Well as the week went on we really developed our skillz and focus. The beat everyone produced was incorporated into a rap by Samuel… and Ari created a beat and rap about the all-important Wisconsin subject of cow tipping. Check em out below, including their posters!
The creativity was flowing when instead of deciding between a cover of Coconut Hen or I’m Just Ken the O4 ladies decided to combine them. A risky move… that paid off! Listen to their mashup masterpiece above!
Dis! Tree Oh! didn’t write an ordinary diss song - no they included all kinds of words involving that “dis” prefix in their sharp-tongued rap.
Back for a second year, they added fuel to the fire surrounding their popularity by doing a Beatles/Paul-is-dead kinda thing in their poster, created after Russell was sick on the last day of hobby!
Good thing they had the recording done before that.
The Jew Directions, Beber’s first ever Glee club has to get ready before their big performance in Regionals. Can clashing personalities, a limited amount of soloist opportunities, and a missing member prevent the Jew Directions from winning Regionals and secure funding for future endeavors? Watch to find out, as the Glee club sings a medley about fulfilling their dreams
Get ready to witness the greatest battle known to humankind. Two famous rock bands, Dark Eclipse Musical Instrument Takeover and Roaring Wolves, go head to head in an all out musical showdown. Special judges flew in from around the world to witness the talent of these two groups. Dark Eclipse Musical Instrument Takeover sang a powerful rendition of “Eye of the Tiger” and the Roaring Wolves performed a parody of the song “You Belong with Me”. Watch as these rock stars perform with passion, grit, determination, and the greatest rock vibes you could imagine.
Rising from the depths of the sea, this group of rockers will melt your heart with their rendition Rainbow Connection. With stunning vocals and instrumentals, Ocean Floor will have your heart swimming and your mind at ease.
Listen to the sounds of Espresso become reinvented by 04 into a new hit that will get you dancing and laughing along with them!!
In the heart of Beber, 03 turns up the fun with their heart warming parody of 'I Got This Feeling,' transforming the classic tune into an iconic cabin anthem that echoes through the camp and brings laughter to everyone around!!
G3 Cotton Candy is making waves with their latest parody of a classic song titled "Karma," paying homage to their home away from home. With catchy melodies and humorous lyrics, the band captures the essence of camp life—from hobbies to late-night adventures in only 45 minutes!! Summer 2024 is underway with this newest tune and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!!
What do you do when one of your campers is in the health center for a hobby, one of your staff is on the senior Ramot trip, and all you have is one amazing musician camper and one incredible recording staff member with unexpected time on their hands???
You write an awesome parody of Free Falling about the great experiences at camp - along with name dropping some staff and paying tribute to their accents ;)
