There’s no cover from these covers. Have a pair of these parodies. You can’t beat these beats. Cash, Lily, Levi, Jack, Annie, and Jonathan truly did it all!
Elan, Gabriel, Will, Jake, Reese, and Liam came together in week one of second session to create incredible original songs. The wide variety of styles is truly a testament to the creativity and originality that spewed from these campers.
Within the first two weeks of second session, an incredible amount of talent, creativity, and noise has been displayed across the many cabins that had the music cabin activity. Here are the highlights at our halfway check-in!
After their rock band hobby, Mira and Caroline really wanted to sing Creep at Beberfest. Good thing that they were able to fill out their band with three random counselors they found laying around.
In Makording Studio, Rebecca, Aliza, and Lily had the chance to sing a bunch of their favorite songs.
Helena, Liv, and Naomi (dubbed The Food Goats) came together in the song writing hobby to craft an original tune of their own. Their song comprises of three sections: acoustic, grunge rock, and drum beat. Their song explores all the wonders relating to food. Everyone Loves Food releases today!
First session finished off the summer strong with a variety of music cabin activities from makor and kesher cabins. From music videos, parodies, covers, freestyle raps, nature orchestras, and sometimes just yelling into the microphone, there was so much creativity and spirit on display . Enjoy a selection of the cabin activities from the back half of 2025 session 1.
This summer we are starting a new tradition. Every camper that took a music hobby was able to choose one song to add to a playlist. For campers that took multiple music hobbies, they added one song per hobby. We hope you listen and shuffle through 2025 First Session’s Spotify Playlist!
Marin and Orly headlined the band “Marin and Orly performing That’s So True by Gracie Abrams” at Fine Arts Fest by playing the song That’s So True by the artist Gracie Abrams. “Marin and Orly performing That’s So True by Gracie Abrams” got the whole camp on their feet and clapping along!
Within their rock band hobby, Liv and Gemma chose to perform the song I Hate Myself For Loving You by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. They were able to hop into the recording studio and practice before rocking out on Crown Hall stage. We are able to share both performances that Liv and Gemma did.
The kesher rock band And Then There Were Five took to the Crown Hall stage to slay at Fine Arts Fest. No last minute health center visits were able to keep them from performing. In THREE DAYS, these musicians were able to not just learn and then perform the White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army.
Beber’s newest craze, campers Blake, Sammy, Jacob, Jack, and Jonah united their love of heavy metal to create the band Mini-Metallica. These Makor campers lit up Crown Hall stage at Fine Arts Fest with their rendition of Enter Sandman.
Campers Shai, Gabriella, Shira, and Maddy, also known as the Preppy Sigmas, cooked up a lit track and the skibidi-est of videos within their recording studio hobby period. All of camp quickly got hooked and joined in during the Fine Arts Fest. Introducing the Preppy Sigma’s hit single: Uwu Uwu 6, 7!
In their sixth music hobby this session, Mira and Caroline created a variety of songs. They began writing a Blues Song before they shifted gears and created a song made from noises that originated from a chair. They later used instruments purchased from the renaissance fair to create a new beat, which they then filmed a music video for. They ended the week creating a peaceful meditation.
Two cabins entered this cabin activity and only one will leave. We will let you vote on whether K3 or B1 sang California Gurls better.
In a combined hobby session, campers Liv, Macey, June, and Noa recorded and created a wide variety of songs, from covers to originals songs and even a spooky soundtrack… Enjoy this selection from our second week of recording studio
In the instrument building hobby Mira, Caroline, Shai, Jacob, Jaden, Jonah, EJ, Eli, Joey, Aaron, and Max managed to paint and build a bass guitar. It even works! Marvel at the beauty of our new blue wonder!
Our artist in residence Brett Fromson helped lead the song writing hobby, where within five days campers Evelyn, Mira, and Caroline wrote and recorded three songs. These songs, written by the now dubbed A Woman’s Oaradix, cover a wide range of thoughtful and creative topics from comparisons between camp and the outside world and being a witch during the Middle Ages.
In one week, campers Mira, Caroline, and Marin wrote a song, created instrumentals, recorded their song, dropped a sick beat, and made a music video. We are proud to debut “Ugly Face” on Beber Rocks!
